About this Role

This role is dedicated to ensuring learners receive the support they need to succeed by assessing additional learning needs and recommending appropriate exam access arrangements in line with JCQ regulations and College procedures. It requires strong organisation, collaboration, and attention to detail to manage a caseload, maintain accurate records, and work effectively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external agencies. The role also involves developing professional expertise through the Level 7 Assessing for Access Arrangements qualification, keeping up to date with SEND legislation and exam regulations, and promoting inclusive practice to help every learner achieve their full potential.

About You

  • Fully funded Level 7 Specialist Assessor qualification for Exam Access Arrangements, with one paid study day each week.
  • Experience of teaching or supporting learning.
  •  Experience of carrying out one-to-one learner assessments.
  • Knowledge of JCQ exam access arrangements and reasonable adjustments, or a willingness to develop this knowledge.
  • PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS (or equivalent) with QTS/QTLS, or a willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
  • Commitment to completing Equality, Diversity and Safeguarding training.
