About this Role

Gloucestershire College is seeking a Work Placement Advisor on a fixed term contract to support our Student Support team. You’ll help construction students gain valuable work experience by building employer links, arranging placements, and working closely with staff to create meaningful opportunities that boost skills, confidence, and future career prospects.

In this role, you will build strong links with local construction employers to create valuable work placement opportunities for students. You’ll support learners in finding placements that match their skills and goals, while organising arrangements and ensuring all processes are clear, safe, and well managed. You’ll also provide friendly guidance on employability and work closely with college teams to monitor progress and continue improving opportunities.

The role will be based at our Cheltenham Campus. 

About You

  • Excellent communications skills working in a customer service environment.
  • Experience of building relationships with companies or organisations
  • Experience of working with young people 16-18
