We are a small and friendly village school set within the charming village of Gainford, nestled between Darlington and Barnard Castle.

We have a fabulous, dedicated staff team offering our children a creative and personalised education, meeting the needs and abilities of all . We have the highest educational aspirations for each and every learner and match high expectations in learning and teaching with fun, exciting and inspirational experiences to engage our pupils set in a caring, holistic and nurturing environment.

As a Church of England school our vision and Christian values support every aspect of the life of the school and you will see this in how we go about our day-to-day activities Through them we aim to develop young people who can flourish in all areas of their lives developing their intellectual, spiritual, and moral attributes becoming proud , respectful and contributing members of our community and help others to flourish in the process.

As a church school with faith at our heart we have very close links with St Mary’s Church in Gainford and also with the wider church community who enrich the experiences of our school family.
