Fowey Primary School is a happy, friendly school nestled at the top of Fowey in East Cornwall.

The school aims to ensure that all pupils have the best primary experience, utilising our fantastic site and incredible location to provide enriching and exciting learning opportunities. Our priority is to ensure that pupils are safe, happy and eager to come to school.

Fowey's core values of collaboration, aspiration, respect and empathy are integral to everything we do.  We want children to have a sense of belonging and to be full of knowledge and wonder for the world in which we live. 

Our pupils know the importance of having determination to keep going, even when things are difficult and understand that at times they may fail but we support them to learn from their failures and go on to achieve.

We strongly believe that every child is entitled to see and experience 'the best that can be thought and said' through rich and meaningful activities and school trips. We have identified 11 key experiences that all pupils at Fowey will enjoy by age 11 that include experiencing the arts, nature, a love of reading and representing the school.

Fowey Primary School has experienced significant turbulence in the last few years. New leadership has resulted in recent improvements in many aspects of the school’s work. Changes to the curriculum are at an early stage and the school continues to raise its expectations for pupils. Parents and carers have overwhelmingly positive views of the school. They recognise the recent improvements and speak highly of the staff at Fowey.
