At Epsom Downs Community School, our guiding motto is

educational philosophy lies a strong emphasis on relationships. We firmly

We are committed to fostering an atmosphere where

discover, and grow. Our dedicated team is here to provide a well-rounded
education that not only focuses on academic excellence but also on the overall
well-being of your child.
We believe that we are a unique school, catering
for children from 0-11 years of age, during which time we really get to know
all of our children and help them on their individual learning journeys. To
achieve the best start we aim to support each child to achieve more than they
ever thought was possible and to develop strong, supportive and respectful
relationships with each other and the adults they work with. We have high
expectations of all children and provide them with the challenge, opportunities
and support for them to flourish.
Through an engaging, creative curriculum that links knowledge, skills
and outdoor learning opportunities, children are given the chance to further
develop their self-esteem, problem solving and collaboration skills through
hands-on learning in a natural environment.
We have a strong, dedicated team, who are passionate about ensuring the best start in life for all children. The senior leadership team drive the school in a cohesive direction, a member of this team is on the playground every morning as a point of contact for parents. Within this team we have phase leaders across the school who ensure consistency and high expectations across each key stage. Every teacher, teaching assistant and member of the admin and premises team, act as role models in order for children to achieve the highest standards.
