About Downton CofE VA Primary School

We warmly invite you to come and visit us Downton Primary School.  

Downton Primary School is a growing vibrant village school. With 291 pupils on roll from September.  Whether you are an ECT starting out on your teaching career or are an established teacher ambitious for leadership – you are welcome.  We will commit to supporting the next stage of your career development.

Our school extended from one form entry September 2018 to cater for increase in number of pupils due to expansion of the village. The school has recently had a surge in admissions, with a significant number of pupils moving into the area.  
As a school we are ambitious for our children, a successful primary school, we are inclusive, ambitious for all and innovative in practice.  Even in our early stages, our teaching is inspired by bringing theory, research and practice together.  We work collaboratively with others and are outward facing, always seeking opportunities to develop our thinking, in partnership with others.
