About Dereham Sixth Form College
Welcome
For nearly fifty years our college
has been providing a stimulating and comprehensive education for students in
our local community and, increasingly, for students from the wider county and
abroad as well. The combination of effective teaching from an experienced group
of staff, outstanding pastoral care using a university-style system of
individual meetings and a dedicated post-16 site mean that Dereham Sixth Form
College (DSFC) continues to be a popular choice for Norfolk students.
Although our students achieve
excellent results, we make sure that the focus is on more than just exams. We
are proud of the strong community in our college and the close working
relationship between staff and students. We provide comprehensive and
individually-tailored careers advice that challenges you to be the best version
of yourself, both in college and your life after DSFC. We also have a wide and
varied super-curriculum which is run by a combination of staff and students and
includes sports, creative arts, social action groups and the Gold Duke of
Edinburgh Award.

Welcome to DESA
Our programme was founded in 2013 and is run in partnership with Dereham Sixth Form College and Dereham Town Football Club.
It is a bespoke programme that allows you to study a Level 3 BTEC in Sport alongside A Levels and/or GCSE Mathematics and English retakes, whilst also being part of a football academy. You will receive coaching from our UEFA qualified staff and play matches as part of a weekly fixture programme.
We will provide you with an array of opportunities to progress into the world of professional football, football scholarships, university, apprenticeships or employment in industry relating to your qualifications gained at DESA.
