Executive Principal's Welcome

Danesholme Academy is sponsored by the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) who currently has 37 open academies educating over 18,000 pupils across seven local authority areas including Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, Leicester City, West Northamptonshire, North Northamptonshire, Peterborough, and Lincolnshire.

Whether you are a new parent, a prospective parent or someone who has known us for a long time, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Danesholme Junior Academy.

As Executive Principal, I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to work here. This website aims to give you a flavour of what we offer and to provide a foundation for the vital partnership between parents, carers and school.  This is so important in giving your child the best possible opportunity for success, now and in the future.

Since September 2021, I have worked as Executive Principal for both Danesholme Junior and Infant Academies. This is an exciting time for both Academies, as we move forward together in developing the best possible primary school experience for all children.

We are striving constantly to develop our provision so children have the best teaching experience, a vibrant environment, the right support and an exciting curriculum. The hard work of our children, parents and all of our staff, adds significantly to our achievements to make an Academy we are proud of.
