At Cottingham CofE Primary School, our Christian values, chosen by our school community, run through the whole school and impact upon our daily life both in and out of the classroom. We aim to 'Live our Cottingham CofE Values Each Day.' Our values are evident within our curriculum and we place our pupils at the heart of everything we do. We are very proud of the children, staff and the whole school community and its achievements.

As a Church of England Primary School within the Diocese of Peterborough we aim to reflect our Christian values in all aspects of school life. we have chosen six values that we see reflected in Jesus’ life and which are threaded through the whole of our school life. They are compassion, respect, honesty, perseverance, forgiveness and trust and have been chosen by the Cottingham CofE community. 

We are a Christian School serving our local community, which seeks to reflect the example and teaching of Jesus Christ as set out in the Gospels. 'This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you.' John 15 Verse 12.

The staff and I are very proud of the school and are keen that you feel the same way also. Our helpful and friendly staff actively encourages parents/carers to get involved and share their views in a supportive and sharing partnership.  By school, parents, the Church and the wider community working in partnership together our children will leave school as inquisitive learners with happy positive memories ready for the journey ahead.

 Whilst we recognise the importance of statutory testing and assessments, success and opportunities at Cottingham CofE do not stop at 3:25pm. Children are actively encouraged to participate in and enjoy a range of extra –curricular activities on offer both during and after school. Cottingham CofE prides itself on its sporting and musical achievements and long may this continue. We are pleased to be able to offer wrap around care both before and after school and would encourage parents to take advantage of this offer.

From the first moment that I stepped foot into Cottingham in 2017, I realised that it was a warm, exciting and happy school.
