The school was established in 1960 and opened by Henry Morris himself, the visionary educationalist who pioneered the village college movement as a new approach to education. Since then, CVC has earned a superb reputation, rightly been awarded numerous accolades, and was judged to be ‘Outstanding’ in all areas again, including Comberton Sixth Form, in its most recent Ofsted inspection (November 2024). Staff continue to benefit from links to CTSN for professional development, where Comberton has been a lead partner since its inception.
