Chelmsford County High School for Girls (CCHS) is an ambitious grammar school community of over 1,200 students aged 11–18, committed to excellence in girls’ education and to empowering young women to achieve their full potential. While the school’s official opening ceremony took place on 1 May 1907, the first girls began their studies at CCHS in 1906. The 2025–26 academic year therefore marks the 120th anniversary of schooling at CCHS and the beginning of a girls’ educational community in Chelmsford.
