About Carclaze Community Primary School

Carclaze Community Primary School is a large, two-form entry primary school with incredible views over the beautiful St Austell Bay and Gribben Daymark.

Its modern site offers pupils lots of open space and spacious classrooms in which to learn. Reading is at the centre of everything Carclaze does and its extensive library sits at the heart of the school building. The school regularly welcomes children's authors to visit to help instill a love of reading for pleasure in pupils.

The school values are care, communicate, persevere and sparkle and these shine through everything the school does. It aims for pupils to not only learn what these values mean but live them in their daily lives.

Staff are proud to work at Carclaze. Subject leaders have strong curriculum expertise and work effectively as a team. Staff and pupils are inspired by the headteacher to be the best that they can be. Parents appreciate leaders and teachers being approachable. It is a common view of parents that this is a caring school. 

Carclaze Community Primary School was rated Good in it's most recent Ofsted inspection in 2021.
