About this Role

About this Role

At CTSW Skills Ltd, we are committed to supporting individuals to develop the skills, confidence and qualifications they need to succeed in education and employment. Based in Plymouth, we work closely with learners, employers and partners to deliver high-quality training and support across a range of programmes.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. This role will involve providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to learners, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and fully engage with their programmes.

The successful candidate will work closely with tutors, the wider support team and external professionals where required, to ensure learners receive the guidance and encouragement they need to progress and achieve their goals. This may include supporting learners within classroom sessions, assisting with additional learning needs, and helping to build confidence, independence and employability skills.

This is a term-time only position, working Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 4:00pm, and Friday, 8:30am – 3:00pm.

Applicants must have experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and demonstrate a strong understanding of how to adapt support to meet a range of individual needs.

We are looking for someone who is patient, adaptable and committed to making a positive difference to learners’ experiences. Strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships are essential.

The safeguarding responsibilities of this role are an important part of working at CTSW Skills. All applicants should be aware of and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults.
