As a school we pride ourselves on getting to know the whole child and to think about all of their needs and aspirations as they learn and grow. Not only do we have very high expectations for their academic achievement; we also nurture them and help them to grow in confidence and independence. 

We offer a very broad and creative curriculum. Our children have had some wonderful opportunities since being part of the HEARTS Academy Trust. This has included: visits from the Science Dome, visits to the Royal Opera, trips to London as well as sleepovers and residential experiences! We firmly believe that we build memories here at Briscoe, which children will carry with them forever.

The Atrium at HEARTS Academy Trust - an early intervention, enhanced provision for children with SEMH challenges

HEARTS Academy Trust remain immensely proud of the work of The Atrium – our enhanced ‘partnership’ provision located in the grounds of Briscoe primary School & Nursery, in Basildon, Essex.  Established in 2018, The Atrium works to inspire hope and positivity in pupils and families who have experienced significant challenges and/or social and emotional trauma.
