Bishop Ellis Catholic Voluntary Academy, a primary school in Thurmaston, Leicestershire, is a great place to be with a very welcoming atmosphere that is given to us by our fantastic children and wonderful staff. At Bishop Ellis, we aim to help children develop in their journey of faith with God in a positive learning environment. We believe that our school will make a valuable contribution to their development. It is a safe, secure and caring environment for all our children where they can develop their many talents. We recognise the importance of educating the ‘whole’ child. Academic excellence and acquiring a depth of knowledge for all children are two of our goals but we also try to nurture those special gifts which makes each child unique. We are proud to be part of the St Thomas Aquinas CMAT. We join together with 18 other primary schools and 4 secondary schools in the Diocese of Nottingham located in Leicester and Leicestershire.

Home/School/Parish links are vital. We value the contribution to school life that parents make and the support offered by the parishes of The Catholic Church of the Divine Infant of Prague, Syston, St Theresa’s Birstall and Sacred Heart Rothley.
