About Birchwood High School
Birchwood is an innovative and modern 8FE comprehensive converter Academy with outstanding facilities. We are a ‘Great’ school in the making and were judged to be a good school by Ofsted (June 2019). We are financially secure and there is an energy and vibrancy about our determination to continually improve alongside our commitment to non-selective, mixed education for local children.
Our School is
located in the north-east of Bishop’s
Stortford, close to the town centre and the train station. It is situated in an
attractive open setting within a residential area backing onto mature woodland.
