About Bedgrove Junior School

Bedgrove Junior school is proud to be part of the Great Learners Trust. The Great Learners Trust (GLT) was established in 2014 in Buckinghamshire with the aim of promoting exceptional learning. We are now a dynamic group of 11 primary schools, working generously in collaboration to provide the best possible education for our children. Trust schools are diverse and unique; this individuality is underpinned by common principles, a shared ambition and a commitment to working closely together. Belonging to the Trust enables schools to focus on the essential work of delivering excellent teaching and learning. The Trust provides high quality school improvement expertise and frameworks for school leaders and governors, including strategic planning, financial and estates management, operations, recruitment and policy development.

What is Special About Our School?

Bedgrove Junior School is located on a large, well-maintained site to the Southeast of Aylesbury in Bedgrove. It is at the heart of a well-established and networked local community with nearby shops, amenities, places of worship and sports clubs and facilities.  The school itself has very good facilities and its own grounds and is on the same site as the separate link infant school (Bedgrove Infant School).

There are 480 pupils on roll aged between 7 and 11 - Years 3 to 6.

Our mission statement:

To inspire children with our engaging curriculum which champions challenge at all levels in order to create resilient and ambitious children who succeed in becoming lifelong learners who are prepared for their future in a fast moving and diverse world.

Our Values:

Inspire - we strive to ignite a passion for learning within our children and aim to ignite children's enthusiasm and desire to learn and explore.

Challenge - we aim to provide challenge for all children so that they strive to achieve their very best.  We adopt a growth mind-set policy where children will self-challenge and always try to do even better and learn from their mistakes.

Succeed - we want all of our children to succeed to the very best of their own ability.  We have a 'can do' culture where we believe every child can achieve and we support, challenge and motivate pupils to want to succeed in everything they do.
