About this Role

Bedford Modern School is an HMC Independent Co-educational Day School located on the outskirts of Bedford. Our facilities are excellent and include a separate Junior School, dedicated Sixth Form building, purpose-built Science Centre opened in 2017 and extensive sports facilities. We offer a premium education, with a wide and varied curriculum, where the intellectual needs of each pupil is given priority.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated D & T Technician to join our thriving Design Technology department. You will have a pivotal role in providing technical support for the teaching of the D & T curriculum and management of the Departments resources.

You will have excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will have a good knowledge of workshop machinery as you will be required to prepare materials and equipment required for the lessons and after school clubs.

This position is for 37 hours per week, 8.30am – 5pm (with an hour unpaid lunch), Monday to Friday: Term Time Only (TTO) + 3 weeks
