At Batley Girls’ High School, we are home to a diverse community of learners, who join us from 11 years of age and enjoy a holistic education through to age 19 (post-16 at BG6 College). We celebrate every opportunity for excellence and provide a rich and varied curriculum.

This is supported by our holistic development, which provides opportunities across five characteristics; connection, community, character, collaboration and creativity. They underpin the culture of our school and every learner's daily school life. We inspire our learners to be the best version of themselves, aim high and achieve their ambitions. 

Our approach is designed to inspire a love of learning, providing a comprehensive, high quality academic education underpinned by our belief that our learners should be empowered and nurtured as individuals. Our young people are encouraged to be curious, creative and driven to pursue their interests and talents as they pursue every opportunity for excellence. 

BG6 continues to evolve and with a designated separate site, which sits within the school grounds, it offers learners the security of a school environment combined with the freedom of a college.
