Bar Hill Primary School is a warm and welcoming primary school situated in the heart of the village of Bar Hill.  We are a family of learners, with hard-working children and dedicated staff who work in partnership with our families and our school community. We want children to be excited about coming to school and aim to inspire a real love of learning, where children leave as active, ambitious and compassionate young people who can articulate their views and are prepared to meet their life challenges.  Our ethos is underpinned by our core values: positivity, respect, integrity, determination and empathy and our high expectations for every child. 

Bar Hill Primary School joined Meridian Trust in 2018 and enjoys working collaboratively with the other primary schools in the Trust most notably working closely with our local schools, Hatton Park in the nearby village of Longstanton and Histon & Impington Brook/Park Primary Schools.

Our School Mission

At Bar Hill Primary School, our continuing aim is to provide each child with challenging, rewarding and enjoyable learning experiences within the caring ethos of our school. Through the PSHE curriculum, which we see as underpinning all we do, and through the support systems that are well established, we aim to ensure that all children feel safe, valued and listened to and can therefore thrive socially, emotionally and academically. We aim to empower children to acquire, demonstrate, articulate and value knowledge and skills that will support them as life-long learners.  We will do this by providing a broad and balanced education that offers challenge in a safe and stimulating environment.
