SALARY/GRADE RANGE:        from £12.71  per hour depending on qualification / experience

RESPONSIBLE TO:                       Play Leader

HOURS:                                              Monday to Friday 15:00-18:00 with potential for over-time  term time only

BEST Nursery & Extended Services (Langford) is looking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic Play Worker to provide quality care and supervision within the framework of the club's policies and procedures, facilitating the child's right to play. You will be passionate, caring, energetic and creative; and be able to build meaningful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

You will have experience of working with children aged 4 to 12 years of age, be able to understand the varying and complex needs of children and their families, and be able to understand the issues involved in the delivery of quality play care.

You will be willing to undertake relevant training, maintain a safe and healthy environment, and operate within the framework of the policies and procedures of the setting. You will be expected to contribute to the safeguarding culture within the setting, creating an environment where children feel safe to learn, play, and grow.

A current paediatric first aid certificate, food hygiene certificate, and a relevant qualification would be advantageous, or a willingness to work towards achieving them.

Applicants must be willing to undertake a DBS clearance and the Nursery must receive two satisfactory references before the successful candidate can commence employment.
