Aston University
Engineering Academy (AUEA) is a University Technical College (UTC) sponsored by
Aston University, offering a unique and ambitious education for 13–19‑year‑olds across
the West Midlands. As part of the Aston University STEM Education Academy
Trust, AUEA provides a distinctive curriculum that blends academic excellence
with industry‑led technical learning, preparing young people for high‑value
careers in Engineering, Science/Health, Business, and wider STEM fields.
AUEA specialises in
delivering STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths, Medical pathways
aligned directly with Aston University, offering qualifications including
GCSEs, A Levels, BTECs and Technical Levels, all taught within a high‑tech
£16.2 million facility equipped with advanced workshops and laboratories
alongside our Sixth Form Centre of Excellence. The academy is nationally
recognised as a centre of excellence for science and engineering education,
providing students with a strong practical, technical, and academic foundation.
