Ashbrook School is a small infant school in the Two Mile Ash area of Milton Keynes. There are six classes from Foundation to Year 2 giving the school a family feel. We are incredibly lucky to have a diverse demographic and this is something that is celebrated on a daily basis. Ofsted commented in our March 2024 inspection that the celebration of difference is a lived experience at Ashbrook.

Pupils at Ashbrook are inspired to learn, achieve and relate well to others.  Children start their days with an wellbeing focus, using the Colour Monsters to support their understanding of feelings and emotions. We want all children to make connections between feeling relaxed and happy and being ready to learn.  Children at Ashbrook do very well in phonics, and we follow the Read Write Inc. scheme.  Children leave us ready and confident for the next stage in their education with the vast majority of our pupils choosing to feed in to Two Mile Ash School.

We offer all children a broad, balanced and fun curriculum that inspires them to learn, and actively enjoy learning.   We have invested in the OPAL programme and our children have daily opportunities to learn through high quality outdoor play across all year groups. Our children have very regular opportunities to play, problem solve and grow things in our Forest Fun area.  We regularly take part in trips or special events to promote various topics and encourage children to try new things, which may in turn inspire them in future life or career choices.  Pupils at Ashbrook may be young but they learn key life lessons at every opportunity.

Pupil behaviour is consistently excellent.  The whole team supports the fact that positive behaviour, trusting relationships and a strong culture of keeping children safe underpins all we do.  We have a strong culture of shared values and children learn to respect themselves and others.  They take great pride in their school and their own achievements.

Ashbrook and Holmwood are part of PATH (Partnership of Ashbrook, Two Mile Ash & Holmwood), and we share one Governing Body.  On 1st October 2019 we joined the Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) Inspiring Futures through Learning (IFtL). Two Mile Ash School is also part of this MAT.
