About this Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Learning Support Assistant to join our brand-new ASC Resource Base at Arthur Bugler Primary School. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting initiative, working within an established and highly supportive team to create a structured, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting children with ASC in small groups or one-to-one, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning activities that meet individual needs.
Helping to develop and implement Individual Education Plans, tracking progress and celebrating achievements.
Using trauma-informed approaches to support behaviour management in a positive and inclusive way.
Encouraging pupils’ engagement through the use of IT and specialist learning tools.
Playing an active role in school life, including extracurricular activities and events.

What We’re Looking For:

🔹 Experience working with children, particularly those with ASC or other special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
🔹 A patient, understanding, and adaptable approach to learning support.
🔹 Strong communication skills to engage effectively with pupils, staff, and families.
🔹 Confidence in using IT and educational technology to enhance learning.
🔹 A team player who is committed to inclusion, equality, and making a difference.
