The Gallery Trust is opening Artemis Academy, a new free special school in Farringdon, opening in January 2027 and will begin recruiting staff over the coming months. 

Artemis Academy will be a pioneering therapeutic day school designed to support students with complex needs, including those who have experienced adverse childhood experiences. The school will grow gradually over four yers to a roll of 100 students aged 7 to 18 years, and will feature small classes and high staffing levels. Many students will have social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and typically find it hard to understand and express their emotions. we will create a safe, nurturing environment where students can re-engage with learning, develop trusting relationships and build skills for a fulfilling life. 

The education support staff and the therapeutic support team will be employed on NJC/Green Book conditions, and benefit from membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme, Flexible and part-time opportunities will be available. teaching staff will be contracted under School Teachers' Pay and Conditions, and ill be enrolled in the teachers' Pension Scheme.
