Welcome to the Federation of All Saints and St Margaret’s
In Jesus’ way we learn, live and pray
About Our Academy
We are a Catholic Voluntary Academy and a member of the St. Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust of the Diocese of Nottingham. All Saints and St Margaret’s Catholic schools were federated in April 2014. On the 1st September, 2018 all schools within the Diocese became part of the Catholic Multi Academy Trust, there are now four CMAT’s within the Diocese of Nottingham.
We are served by one governing body and both our schools work in close partnership together. Our mission in serving the local Catholic parishes of All Saints & St Mary’s, St Margaret’s and the Immaculate Conception Broadbottom, is to offer Catholic education, spiritual and moral teaching to the children in our care.
Religious education lies at the core of everything that we do. We devote 10% of curriculum time to the teaching of RE and follow the ‘Come and See’ scheme from Reception to Year 6. We also explore and express our faith through other subjects including Art, Drama, Music, Science and Literacy.
Collective acts of worship for the whole school take place three times a week and in individual classes on the remaining two days. Our parish priests are regular visitors to school and there are many occasions throughout the year when we celebrate Mass together as a whole school or individual year groups. In addition to this, prayer is important at all times both collectively and individually.
We are a thriving and active Catholic school community in Glossop.
Our schools are set within fantastic environments that encompasses both large open green spaces, we are fortunate
to be able to offer our pupils the ideal place to learn, explore, play and grow. We are delighted that you have shown interest in joining us and that you want to play a part in providing our children with the best possible start in life.
