Adelaide School is a SEMH special school with 93 students
on roll. This provision serves students from year 5- 6th form. All students
have an EHC plan for SEMH but many also have secondary special educational
needs such as Autism or ADHD. The majority of our pupils are classed as pupil
premium.
Currently 33 of our pupils access the Adelaide Link pathway
which is a bespoke provision established to support pupils with profound mental
health needs and persistent non-attendance. Their needs can also include:
anxiety disorders, emotionally based school avoidance and PDA. These pupils
have bespoke timetables and support.
Adelaide’s values are; commitment, care and collaboration.
The ethos is centred on students developing an intrinsic desire to make
progress. Students engage with a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities
including residential trips. The school prioritises careers education and
preparation for employment or further learning.
