Our school provides a specialised alternative provision environment tailored for students who face challenges in traditional settings, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve academic success. Most of our students successfully return to mainstream secondary education or transition smoothly to post-16 educational pathways.

Abbey View serves students at risk of disengagement and marginalisation in their mainstream school, offering them a renewed sense of purpose and re-engagement with their education and lives. Our purpose is solidly built around Supporting Students, Fulfilling Potential and Delivering a Future of Possibilities – whether attending for a short or extended period of time.

In collaboration with partner schools and families, Abbey View offers a welcoming, secure, and supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being and safe lifestyle choices. Our vision of Successful Transitions, A Safe Trusted Environment, Excitement Through Education and Future Ready has been developed to ensure that we:

• Support and guide students to successfully transition back into mainstream education or, for those in longer-term placements, connect them with sustainable post-16 pathways for lasting success.

• Create a safe, secure, and trusted environment where students feel connected and engage positively with the wider community, fostering emotional growth and achieving meaningful, lasting outcomes. 

• Provide a developed curriculum that both educates and excites by recognising potential, connects with students in a meaningful relevant manner through a blend of academic and vocational provision across all age groups.

• Achieve a future of meaningful and aspirational options through ideation, support and engaging education. Our students should be well prepared for adulthood and their future options.

ABOUT ABBEY VIEW

Abbey View is operated by CCT Learning – which is a single academy trust. During mid 2025, the school will merge into a supportive Multi Academy Trust, unleashing not only a new chapter for the school, but also new possibilities.
