Teaching School Administrative Assistant (Term time)

The Leicestershire & Rutland Teaching School Hub is seeking a professional and proactive Administrative Assistant to support the smooth delivery of our teacher training and professional development programmes.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive team working with schools, teachers, and leaders across the region to improve outcomes for children and young people.

About the role

Leicestershire and Rutland Teaching School Hub is part of St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Multi-Academy Trust.  As part of the Teaching School team, you will provide high-quality administrative and organisational support across a wide range of programmes and activities. This includes supporting teacher training, professional development events, communications, programme coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

You will play a key role in helping programmes run efficiently while ensuring schools, participants, and partners receive a professional and responsive service.

Our work spans the full teacher development journey, including:

• Initial Teacher Training
• Early Career Framework programmes
• NPQs
• SEND and Inclusion support
• Networks and bespoke professional development

What you’ll be doing

You will:

• Support the administration and coordination of teacher training and development programmes
• Manage programme communications, registrations, records, and participant information
• Organise meetings, webinars, training events, and resources
• Monitor enquiries and provide professional support to schools and participants
• Assist with newsletters, updates, website content, and communications
• Maintain accurate electronic records and support reporting processes
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, facilitators, schools, and external partners

We are looking for someone who:

• Has excellent organisational and communication skills
• Is professional, approachable, and customer-focused
• Can manage multiple priorities and work accurately under pressure
• Is confident using Microsoft Office and digital systems
• Has experience in administration or customer-facing environments
• Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team
• Ideally has experience within education, training, or programme administration
