Serenity School Old Palace Croydon is looking to appoint an experienced and passionate Primary SEND Teacher to work as part of our supportive and collaborative team.

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic teacher to deliver an engaging curriculum with a focus on Arts, Crafts, and Functional Learning, including practical life skills such as cooking and independent living activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire pupils through hands-on, meaningful learning experiences that develop creativity, confidence, independence, and preparation for everyday life.
We welcome applications from both qualified (QTS) and unqualified teachers who have relevant experience working with children and young people with SEND.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in Arts, Crafts, and Functional Learning, including cooking and life skills activities
• Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that supports pupils' individual needs and aspirations
• Supporting pupils to develop independence, communication, creativity, and confidence through practical learning experiences
• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual EHCP outcomes and learning needs
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure positive outcomes for all pupils

• Has experience delivering creative, practical, or vocational learning opportunities
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
• Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and promoting pupil wellbeing
