Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the security, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of the school site, including key holder responsibilities
  • Undertaking routine maintenance, repairs, health and safety checks, and ensuring the school environment remains safe and compliant
  • Driving the school’s staff and pupil shuttle service and supporting other transport requirements as needed
  • Supervising contractors, monitoring site works, and reporting maintenance issues or improvement needs
  • Maintaining external areas, managing supplies and resources, and supporting school events through porterage and site preparation

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in site management, facilities, maintenance, caretaking, or a similar role
  • Possesses strong practical maintenance and handyman skills with the ability to work independently
  • Has excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Is committed to maintaining high standards of health, safety, cleanliness, and security
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and is confident driving a minibus or shuttle vehicle (or willing to undertake any required training)
