About this Role

Serenity School Old Palace Croydon is looking to appoint a reliable, proactive, and flexible Site Assistant to work as part of our supportive and collaborative team. Early applications are encouraged as we are actively interviewing candidates.

The Site Assistant will support the Site Manager in the day-to-day operation of the school site, helping to ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment that meets the needs of pupils, staff, and visitors.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Site Manager in maintaining the safety, security, and effective operation of the school premises
  • Assisting with general site maintenance, upkeep, and operational support as required
  • Supporting health and safety procedures and contributing to a positive safety culture across the school
  • Assisting with site security arrangements, including opening and closing the premises and providing cover in the Site Manager’s absence when required
  • Supporting site logistics, transport arrangements, and the preparation of spaces for school activities and events
  • Working collaboratively with school staff, contractors, and external professionals
  • Adapting to the changing needs of the school site and contributing to the wider life of the school
