About this Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring and experienced SENDCO with QTS and a recognised SENDOCO qualification, who is passionate about Early Years inclusive teaching and who wants to contribute to our team as we continue to achieve excellent learning outcomes for all children.  

Cherry Trees and Peter Pan Nursery Schools are  purpose built  Early Years learning environments and are graded 'Outstanding by OFSTED.  We have a skilled and experienced team of teachers and early years practitioners, and offer a wide range of CPD opportunities.

The post starts on 1st January 2027 or earlier, dependent on candidate availability.

We are looking for an experienced SENDCO who is able to:

  • Manage and lead the strategic development of SEND policy and provision across the Bedford Nursery Schools Federation;
  • Deliver high quality teaching pedagogy and practice to secure consistently good or outstanding teaching and learning for all children;
  • Demonstrate the importance of ongoing professional development;
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school;
  • Create an inclusive, intentional and inspiring learning environment;
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of our team;
  • Ensure each child reaches their full potential.

Visits to Peter Pan and/or Cherry Trees Nursery Schools are welcomed.

Applicants for this public facing post will need to demonstrate the ability to converse and provide effective help or advice in fluently spoken English.
