About this Role
Orchids Childcare is an Out of School Club providing childcare to local families within Wheelers Lane Primary School, Kings Heath Birmingham.
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual with excellent leadership skills to manage a team of Childcare professionals within a safe and fun learning environment.
You should be a fun and energetic Manager who is confident in making Kids Club exciting for the children to attend. You should have excellent communication skills; liaison with the school staff and parents is paramount in ensuring the children are happy, safe and secure at club. You should be confident in leading a strong staff team, delegating where necessary and maintaining high staff morale.
You must be qualified to Level 3 in Childcare and hold a DBS preferably on the update service.
You would be required to work Monday – Friday, 21.25 hours per week, term time only. The working pattern is non-negotiable. The morning session is 7:30am – 8:45am and the afternoon session is 2.30pm – 5:30pm.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of the kids club, including but not exhaustive of safeguarding, performance managements, occupancy levels, record keeping, risk assessments, planning and organisation of activities, providing breakfast and snack, ordering of food and resources, communicating with parents and school staff, ensuring the setting adheres to all statutory requirements such as the EYFS and any other regulatory legislation and Ofsted/Local Authority visits, all with the support of our Area Manager and the Deputy Manager.
