About this Role

About Us:

We are a specialist SEMH primary school committed to providing exceptional education and support to our pupils. Our school operates across two sites, working collaboratively to ensure the highest standards of education and care for all our children.

The two schools are approximately 19 miles apart, and the role will be based at Beech Road.

While our Deputy Headteacher will have a main base, our Senior Leadership Teams work closely together across both sites, fostering a unified approach to school improvement and development. Regular joint working and collaboration between sites is an integral part of these roles.

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Have a deep understanding of SEMH needs and inclusive education
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and strategic thinking
  • Are committed to achieving outstanding outcomes for vulnerable pupils
  • Have proven experience in leading school improvement initiatives
  • Can build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and stakeholders
  • Are resilient, adaptable, and innovative in their approach

What we offer:

  • A supportive and collaborative leadership environment
  • Excellent professional development opportunities
  • The chance to make a real difference to children's lives
  • Competitive salary and benefits package including
    • Teachers’ pension
    • Wellbeing package which includes GP 24/7, Physiotherapy and counselling through Education Mutual
  • Free lunch

All appointments are subject to the satisfactory completion of the necessary pre-employment checks, including two references, enhanced DBS certificate and occupational health checks as part of our safeguarding and induction procedures.

Please note also that prospective applicants with certain criminal records are barred from employment in regulated activity or from working in certain roles in a school setting.

We encourage visiting our school prior to submitting an application. Visit appointments will be by arrangement with Mrs Bianca Osobu (Head of School).

We reserve the right to close the job early if we receive a high number of applications.

To arrange a time to visit please contact Mrs Emma O’Brien, Tel.No. 01438 236333 or email: ebrien@bfetrust.org.uk
