We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide academic and pastoral support to pupils with medical and mental health needs. The role focusses on enabling young people to engage successfully with day-to-day learning.
The successful candidate will:
• have excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
• be well organised, have a calm manner and a flexible approach.
• be able to contribute to the MNTS whole service vision
The Medical Needs Teaching Service (MNTS) is a service commissioned by Leeds Local Authority through a Service Level Agreement with the East Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre. The MNTS delivers outstanding learning in four settings across Leeds to children and young people who cannot attend school because of health needs. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All candidates that are successfully selected for an interview will be required to complete a self-disclosure form. Appointments will be to the Medical Needs Teaching Service which is part of the East SILC and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and reference check.
