About the Role
As an Apprentice Payroll Administrator, you will support the
payroll team with the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our 1200
employees. You will receive full training and ongoing support, helping you
develop valuable skills and knowledge within a busy payroll environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting
with the processing of monthly payroll in line with HMRC legislation
- Inputting
and maintaining employee payroll data
- Supporting
with starters, leavers, and payroll changes
- Assisting
with statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, etc.)
- Collaborating
with the HR Services Team
- Responding
to payroll queries from employees and providing excellent customer service
- Working
closely with the Head of Payroll to resolve payroll queries
- Supporting
the team with general administrative tasks, including checking and
verifying timesheet entries for accuracy.
About You:
- GCSEs
(or equivalent) including Maths and English
- Strong
attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good
communication skills and a professional manner
- Willingness
to learn and develop new skills
- Confident
using IT systems, including Microsoft Office
- Ability
to work well as part of a team and manage deadlines·
