FTE Salary Range: NJC Grade B Pt 3-4, £24,796 - £25,185
Actual Salary Range: £7,936 - £8,061
Contract Type: Permanent, part time, term time only + 2 weeks (41 weeks per year)
Contract Hours: 12.5 Hrs per week,

Principle Purpose of the Role
To undertake general duties necessary to provide a clean, hygienic and safe environment for teaching and other school activities.
As well as the core responsibilities detailed above, other key areas of accountabilities and tasks include:
Key Duties
To carry out cleaning tasks set out in the school’s cleaning schedule.
To use all cleaning materials and equipment in a safe and proper manner in accordance with any instructions and specifications provided.
To report the breakdown of any cleaning equipment or any perceived hazards in the workplace to the Site Assistant (or other nominated supervisor)
To observe health and safety and security requirements.
To complete any appropriate records or documentation required by the Head Teacher.
To maintain good working relationships with other school staff and to co-operate with reasonable changes to daily work routines to assist the smooth operation of the school
To ensure that work undertaken complies with stated requirements and undertake appropriate training, as required.
To undertake other duties as directed and commensurate with the grading of the role.
To follow agreed policies for communications in the school. There will be regular contact with the supervisors and other cleaning staff regarding cleaning duties. There will also be general contact with other school staff.
To share the school’s commitment to safeguarding and prioritising the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and demonstrating it in your day-to-day work.
To perform your role, as part of a highly committed team and delivering your service in a way that helps the school achieve its strategic objectives and annual development and improvement plans - taking account of available resources.
To contribute to the evaluation and development of services across the school as part of the school’s ongoing self-assessment cycle.
The job involves working within recognised procedures. The post holder will have access to a supervisor or manager for advice and guidance
The job holder has no regular supervisory responsibility for staff but may assist in work familiarisation of peers and new recruits.
