 Are you looking for a challenging and rewarding role and seeking to accelerate your career in special education at Moorcroft School and the Eden Academy Trust?

Moorcroft School is looking for a Head of our 11-13 department to complement our Senior Leadership Team for the start of the Autumn Term 2026 for one academic year (fixed term).

 

The post is based at Eden Pinkwell Satellites but works across both Moorcroft sites (Pinkwell and Bramble Close). 

The Head of Key Stage 3 is responsible for the development of the key stage 3 curriculum and monitoring the implementation of the curriculum provision through teachers’ planning, lesson observations and assessment of student data and progress.

 

You will also be responsible for developing the transition plan for our new Year 7 students.

 

The Head of Key Stage 3 is also a class teacher for one of the Key Stage 3 classes at Pinkwell.

 

We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and hardworking candidates, with a passion for young people with severe learning difficulties.  We are particularly looking for candidates seeking a challenge by working with young people with social and emotional learning difficulties often presented by challenging behaviour.
