We
are seeking to recruit an accomplished mathematics teacher who is passionate
about teaching and learning to be our Lead Practitioner in Mathematics. Our
Lead Practitioner will work alongside our Head of Mathematics and our other
middle leaders in the department.
Our Mathematics department consists of 14 Maths teachers, all specialists. Some of our team are new to the profession, others are more experienced teachers. All share the same vision namely to provide the very best teaching and learning opportunities to every young person in the school and college.
The Mathematics department works together to dismantle any barriers to learning students may experience to enable every student to achieve success regardless of their starting point.
We are committed to providing every student with enrichment opportunities designed to develop drive, resilience, aspiration, integrity and making a contribution to the wider community. Our programme includes student leadership roles as well as trips and visits, competitions, etc.
Our Lead Practitioner will be creative, enthusiastic and highly motivated and demonstrate high professional standards.
We envisage that our Lead Practitioner will make a contribution to our Teaching and Learning Team led by our Deputy Heads.
