About this Role

Work where it matters most, achieve what matters more

Be part of a team where passion meets purpose, as we work together where the challenge is greatest to change the lives and build the futures of children and young people.

We are seeking a committed and inspiring ITT Tutor to lead the development of trainee teachers through to successful qualification. In this role, you will support trainees to achieve both professional competence and academic success by the end of their training year, culminating in the award of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE.

This is a part time vacancy at 0.6 (3 days per week) fixed term for 1 year starting September 2026. It is essential you are able to drive and travel to visit trainees and deliver training.

You will design and deliver a high-quality training curriculum and ensure it is effectively applied in schools through close collaboration with mentors and placement settings. By building strong professional relationships, you will support trainees to continuously improve their classroom practice and positively impact pupil outcomes. You will monitor trainee progress across cohorts, using this insight to inform programme development and drive continuous improvement in partnership with schools.

As a Subject Lead, you will deliver subject-specific training as part of the centre-based programme and carry out subject visits to trainees. You will also contribute to the promotion and recruitment of the NIoT @ Ormiston Teacher Training programme, helping to attract and develop the next generation of teachers.
