The vacancy

The White Horse Federation is a Multi-Academy Trust comprising 30 schools. We are currently seeking  a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to lead and coordinate health and safety compliance across the Trust. You will play a key role in ensuring that all schools and central teams operate in line with current legislation and best practice, promoting a strong culture of safety and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will, Provide expert advice on health and safety matters across the Trust, Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and policies. Conduct risk assessments, audits and site inspections. Support schools with incident reporting and investigation. Deliver training and guidance to staff on health and safety practices. Maintain accurate records and produce reports for senior leadership. Work collaboratively with school leaders and operational teams

We are looking for a candidate who has:

    Proven experience in a health and safety role (education sector desirable)

      NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards

      Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation

      Excellent communication and organisational skills

      Ability to work autonomously across multiple sites

      A proactive, solution-focused approach
