About this Role

About this Role

Join Us as we build Something Special

Brook School is a brand-new independent school that has recently opened its doors, and we are looking for exceptional teachers to help shape a truly unique and inspiring place to learn and work.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teacher, initially for our KS3 Primary Model, with responsibility for English or Maths in KS4 as the school grows. Applicants should have a specialism in either Maths or English and a passion for delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching.

This is a rare opportunity to be part of the founding team, to build a culture from the ground up, and to create a school where relationships, care, and individual growth sit at the heart of everything we do. With a therapeutic and trauma-informed ethos, relationships and nurture are at the heart of everything we do.

We are not just looking for qualified teachers.
We are looking for kindness, patience, and a genuine willingness to adapt to meet the individual needs of every learner.

Our learners will need adults who see them, hear them, and are ready to think creatively to help them thrive. If you believe education should be personal, flexible, and rooted in compassion, you will feel at home here.

What makes us different?

  • Small classes and a nurturing environment
  • A strong focus on individual learning journeys
  • Freedom to teach creatively and responsively
  • A leadership team that values staff wellbeing as much as learners progress
  • A culture built on respect, collaboration, and support

What we’re looking for

Teachers who are:

  • Warm, patient, and emotionally intelligent
  • Adaptable and solution-focused
  • Passionate about meeting the needs of every learner
  • Excited to help build a school community from day one
  • Ready to be part of something new, meaningful, and wonderful

What we offer

  • A wide range of staff benefits and wellbeing support
  • Ongoing professional development and training
  • A collaborative, supportive working environment
  • The chance to make a genuine difference every single day
  • The opportunity to help shape and implement the school’s vision and values from the very beginning

If you want more than just a teaching job and if you want to help create a school where learners and staff can truly flourish, we would love to hear from you.

Come and be part of the beginning.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.

Brook School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every learner and we expect all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant with require an enhanced DBS, and DBS checks, online checks, and references will be taken up before interview.
