About this Role
Include Education Group is seeking an Assistant Headteacher to join our leadership team at Include – St Matthews Centre in Darley Abbey. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and dedicated leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for young people through inclusive, high-quality education.
As Assistant Headteacher, you will work closely with the Head of Centre to provide both strategic and operational leadership across teaching, learning, behaviour, safeguarding, attendance, and curriculum development. You will play a key role in creating a positive and supportive learning culture where students are empowered to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
The role involves leading staff development, supporting behaviour and pastoral systems, driving school improvement priorities, and ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and inclusion. You will also build strong relationships with families, external agencies, and the wider community to support positive outcomes for all learners.
We are looking for a resilient, reflective, and inspiring leader with strong experience in school improvement, behaviour management, safeguarding, and staff leadership. This role would suit an experienced middle or senior leader ready to take the next step in their career.
