Our 'Bring It!' vision requires us to ensure our pupils are excited by and fully engaged in their learning and school experience more widely. We support them to use their talents to create positive school memories with their friends that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.

St Barnabas Multi Academy Trust are seeking enthusiastic individuals to volunteer as local governors across our 14 schools. If you would like to help please state below when applying which of our schools you would like to support at.
Local Governors are drawn from a variety of backgrounds and make a vital contribution to the success of our schools. We work on a hub model so each local governing body will often work for more than one school.
The MAT Directors hold the legal liability for governance but delegate certain roles & responsibilities to local governors.
Following your induction, your estimated annual time commitment will include:
preparing for and attending in person at one of the schools one meeting per term (9 hours)
assisting with half-termly school daytime monitoring visits (18 hours)
some mandatory online training (10 hours)
very occasional involvement in governor panels (unspecified)
You will also be invited to be a link governor for a specific area, e.g. safeguarding, This provides more of a focus to the role (role description and guidance will be provided)
You will be offered an induction session and support from the trust's Head of Governance and the Local Governing Body Chair
