Job Overview:
Habs Elstree is seeking strong language graduates, including those looking to change career and native speakers, to train as secondary school French, Spanish or German teachers.
Habs Elstree is the lead school of the North London Hub of the National Modern Languages SCITT, a school centred, subject specialised teacher training programme designed to help address the acute shortage of Modern Language teachers.
The SCITT approach is different to traditional teacher training in the following ways:
We are looking for candidates who have the potential to be an outstanding teacher. You must be able to demonstrate extensive subject knowledge in your chosen language or be a native speaker. A good honours degree or a recognised equivalent qualification with a high level of fluency in at least one modern language is needed.
