Vacancy:

Finance Business Partner

Grade I 26 - 28: £37,280 - £39,152 FTE per annum, pay award pending

37 hours per week

Permanent

An exciting opportunity - with scope for longer term progression - has arisen to join the Finance team at Broad Horizons Education Trust which currently operates 18 academies in and around Norwich – 3 secondary schools, 2 specialist schools and 13 schools for younger children.

The Finance Business Partner will help lead the busy and friendly finance team.  As a group, we are responsible for producing complete and accurate consolidated monthly management accounts, whilst also working with a range of internal and external stakeholders to drive value for money as part of the organisation’s responsibility to steward and apply public funds effectively and efficiently.

We will be delivering continuous improvement in the Trust’s finance function and developing trusted business partnerships with departmental budget holders (Head Teachers and Central Service leads) and other operational staff. Key areas of work include month end procedures, key control account reconciliations, forecasting and reporting, monitoring budgets and developing 3-year rolling budget plans, alongside other finance tasks as required.

The role is based in the Trust’s centralised Head office, providing financial support to the team and Trust, visiting schools and liaising with budget holders as required. Candidates will have the ability to work independently and as part of a busy team. Candidates are expected to have recognised accountancy training and strong interpersonal skills with at least 2 years experience within a finance role.

The hours for this post are 37 hours per week with the opportunity for flexi working weeks around school holidays. The Trust provides excellent Pension benefits, free car parking, Cycle to Work and Tech Schemes, dress-down Fridays and a School Wellbeing Service, with new employee benefits being regularly added.

The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS, and have checks carried out with past employers. Right to Work in the UK will need to be established. We are an equal opportunities employer.
