About this Role

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join our welcoming school community and play a key role in shaping the educational journey of our young learners.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a supportive team, inspire children to achieve their very best, and make a lasting impact during these important formative years. We are looking for someone who shares our values, has high aspirations for every child, and brings energy, creativity, and warmth to the classroom.

About Us

The Koinonia Federation is formed of two schools, based over three campuses.

St Mary Magdalene is all through school with two campuses. One campus is based on the Greenwich Peninsula. The other is based on Woolwich. The primary phase at St Mary Magdalene has four forms of entry.

Christ Church C of E Primary School is a one form entry primary school based in East Greenwich.

Christ Church Primary and St. Mary Magdalene are thriving and highly-regarded Church of England schools, guided by our motto: Faith, Family, and Fellowship. These values are at the heart of everything we do, fostering a nurturing and aspirational environment for both students and staff. Recognised by Ofsted as a ‘Good’ school, we are committed to academic excellence and providing a holistic education for every learner.

We are looking an excellent Primary Class Teacher who:

  • is exemplary in their teaching and classroom practise
  • is highly organised, motivational and flexible
  • is inspiring and reflective in their classroom practice
  • is creative and dynamic in their approach to teaching and learning
  • is committed to high standards of achievement, progress and behaviour for all

We can offer:

  • A Christian ethos that underpins all aspects of school life.
  • A supportive leadership team and a vibrant professional community.
  • High-quality training and professional development opportunities at every stage of your career.
  • A commitment to staff well-being, including access to an on-site gym available before and after school, as well as during holidays.
  • An Apple MacBook for work use, both in school and at home.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic high-achieving students.
  • A positive school culture built on collaboration and distributed leadership.

If you share our values, have the passion for delivering excellence, and want to be part of a dedicated and enthusiastic team committed to supporting all students in fulfilling their potential, we’d love to hear from you.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the highest professional standards and a genuine commitment to making a difference.

Applications will be considered on receipt and shortlisted candidates will be invited to come in for lesson observation and interview.

Please apply early, as we may close this advert sooner than planned if we receive a high level of interest.

As this role will involve contact with children we will take up at least two references before interview asking about your suitability to work with children. Any job offer will be conditional on you having a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service Criminal Records Check and Barred List Check, having the legal right to work in the UK and having satisfactory overseas criminal records checks if deemed necessary.

Koinonia federation is committed to positively tackling discrimination in all its forms and works to ensure that all sections of the community have fair and equal access to and experience within employment.
