Operations Manager

Connect Multi‑Academy Trust – North Durham Academy, Stanley
Salary: Support Staff Grade 8 

Connect Multi‑Academy Trust is looking for a proactive, experienced Operations Manager to lead on Estates, Health & Safety and Facilities functions across all our Trust sites (3 secondary schools and 5 primary schools).

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and support Site Teams across the Trust
  • Manage the Facilities Service Desk and ensure KPIs are met
  • Oversee PPM schedules and statutory compliance
  • Lead capital projects from scope to delivery
  • Act as Health & Safety Lead, including risk assessments and training
  • Manage catering, cleaning and transport contracts
  • Oversee site security, CCTV, access control and emergency response

What you’ll bring:

  • 3+ years’ experience in estates/facilities management
  • Strong project management and contractor‑management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations
  • Great communication, organisation and IT skills
  • A solutions‑focused, resilient approach

Desirable: NEBOSH/IOSH, PRINCE2, education‑sector experience.

 Please note that we operate a probationary period of 6 months across all jobs in the Trust (see attached policy for further details).  You will receive a comprehensive induction to support you to successfully pass your probation.
