About this Role
Head of Safeguarding
Grade: Support Grade 9
Responsible to: Corporate Director
Connect Multi-Academy Trust is seeking an experienced and
strategic safeguarding professional to lead our Trust-wide safeguarding
provision and culture.
This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring the
highest standards of safeguarding, child protection, and welfare across all our
schools. You will provide expert guidance to senior leaders and DSLs, oversee
safeguarding compliance and quality assurance, lead training and development,
and work closely with external agencies to support vulnerable children and
families.
The role also includes developing and delivering a
commercial safeguarding offer including consultancy, training, and quality
assurance services for schools.
We are looking for someone with:
- Significant
experience as a DSL or senior safeguarding leader
- Expert
knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance
- Experience
leading safeguarding strategy, audits, and high-risk case management
- Excellent
leadership, communication, and partnership-working skills
- A
strong commitment to inclusion, student welfare, and safeguarding
excellence
